Homine advances in offering Avalara solutions in Brazil

“Avalara is the only manufacturer of tax solutions to offer a suite of 100% solutions in the cloud and with an excellent cost-benefit ratio, capable of transforming companies' processes and routines as well as increasing their efficiency and compliance with tax obligations.", highlights Rafael Ruiz, director of innovation at Homine. According to Avalara, the implementation of its tax routines and software in the cloud has reduced tax management costs in companies by up to 40%, of which 25% in software costs and 15% in IT infrastructure.

The solution Tax Compliance, which is part of Avalara's tax journey, is one of the focuses for generating new business. The tool consolidates tax and accounting data from the ERP, calculates taxes and generates obligations at federal, state and municipal levels. A difference is the routine updating of the system (twice a week), quickly incorporating legal changes and ensuring compliance with tax obligations.

Another prominent solution is the AvaTax Brazil, a powerful calculation engine that automatically simulates and determines indirect taxes on goods and services in the purchase and sale processes. “By adding Tax Compliance with AvaTax, the purchasing, tax and accounting areas no longer need to worry about new developments in the Brazilian legal framework and changes in tax rates, as the solutions are always up to date and available in the cloud for users”, adds Ruiz.

O TaxDocs 2.0 is Homine's third major front to serve customers well, especially those who use SAP ERP. The system automatically manages XML files for commercial notes (NF-e), service notes (NFS-e) and transport notes (CT-e), integrating, for example, with HomSoft, a solution developed by Homine to automate the processes of receiving electronic tax documents and physical receipt in SAP ERP (Migo and Miro processes). “Homine has already carried out several analyzes in which the combination of TaxDocs with Homsoft drastically reduced GRC replacement costs. This is good news for SAP customers who will need to make a decision about which tool to adopt after the end of GRC support next year,” says Ruiz.

Solutions that complement Avalara's tax journey in the cloud and integrate Homine's tax offering pipeline include Tax Central, responsible for centralizing the management of various compliance obligations, through a due date calendar.

“These are innovative solutions that add value to companies' ERP and tax compliance and complement our expertise as SAP and non-SAP integrators, expanding our platform of digital and tax transformation solutions available to customers.”, concludes Rafael.
