Homine concluded, on the 4th of July, in the Emerson Electric in Brazil, the process of updating and adjusting the systems for the new 4.0 layout of the electronic invoice (NF-e), which becomes mandatory from August 2 of this year.
The project included specific updates in SAP version 4.6C and also in the Mastersaf solution and in the foreign trade management system – Softway – to contain the new fields of the 4.0 layout, in addition to modifying the SAP interfaces with these systems. The entry into production of the SAP system updated to the NF-e 4.0 version took place on the afternoon of July 4th, within the established deadline and with great success.
The project, led and executed by Homine, had the support of partners walar It is GSW, requiring two months of work and hundreds of dedicated consulting hours. The team, made up of more than 20 professionals, distributed among Emerson, Homine and partners, was led by Jorge Gonzalez, PMO at Homine.
According to him, transparency in communication and methodological orientation were crucial for the successful implementation of adjustments within the foreseen period.
“In a project like this, very complex, of great magnitude and with interventions in three systems, the key to success was transparent communication between the team and the definition of a work methodology that relied on careful planning, with which we were always aligned throughout the entire execution period”, points out Gonzalez.
“The team's support and effort were essential for meeting the schedule. This week, we concluded the final system stabilization process, which showed excellent results in the integrated tests, validated by our fiscal and financial teams”, celebrates Sebastian Hadad, Emerson IT Infrastructure Manager for Latin America and project sponsor.
Due to the mandatory adoption of the new NF-e 4.0 version, Homine has carried out, since the end of 2017, dozens of projects to update the tax issuance system for companies operating in Brazil.
